MTV website learned that the failure of Palestinian camps to settle their outstanding dues owed to Electricite du Liban (EDL) was item 25 on the agenda of the EDL Board of Directors' meeting held on Friday, October 23, 2027. The board decided to cut electricity supply to government departments, public institutions, and independent agencies that have failed to pay their dues to EDL, effective from the morning of Monday, November 2, 2026.

The EDL Board of Directors also decided to notify the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee and the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers of its decision to grant a 20-day grace period to delinquent camps from the date of notification; otherwise, power will be cut after the expiration of this period.
