Lebanon
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea issued a statement rejecting Hezbollah's claims of being uninvolved in Lebanon's negotiations, asserting that the elected parliament and government represent the Lebanese people.

Issued by the head of the "Lebanese Forces" party, Samir Geagea, the following statement:
In recent days, we have heard some repeatedly say that they are not concerned with any negotiations Lebanon conducts or any agreements it undertakes. To these we say: We are not concerned with your words and everything you do, except that it has brought disasters upon Lebanon and the Lebanese.
Lebanon has a democratically and effectively elected parliament, which represents the Lebanese people in the best way. This parliament elected President Joseph Aoun with a majority of 99 votes out of 128, and this same parliament granted confidence to the current government twice consecutively with a majority exceeding two-thirds. Therefore, those who represent the Lebanese are the President of the Republic and the government, each according to the powers granted by the constitution.
To those who say they are not concerned with legitimate and constitutional negotiations conducted by the President of the Republic in solidarity and cooperation with the Prime Minister and the government, they mean by their words that they deny the state of Lebanon, the majority of Lebanese, and consequently, Lebanon as a homeland.
Whoever does not recognize what the legitimate President of Lebanon and the legitimate government do, does not recognize the existence of a state in Lebanon. It remains that officials in the state of Lebanon must act on this basis."
