Interior Minister Reports to President Aoun on Kuwait Visit Outcomes
President Joseph Aoun received a briefing from Interior Minister Ahmed Al-Hajjar on his official visit to Kuwait and new biometric passport services.

President Joseph Aoun was briefed by Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmed Al-Hajjar on the results of his official visit to Kuwait. The minister conveyed greetings from the Emir of Kuwait and senior Kuwaiti officials, who expressed their support for President Aoun, Lebanon, and its people, emphasizing their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation frameworks between the two brotherly countries.
Minister Al-Hajjar also informed President Aoun about the launch of biometric fingerprinting services at the Lebanese embassy in Kuwait. This service will be gradually extended to Lebanese embassies and consulates worldwide in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants. The new system will allow Lebanese expatriates to complete biometric fingerprint procedures and submit their applications electronically to Lebanon in order to obtain biometric passports without the need to be physically present in Lebanon.
The minister reviewed the current security situation in the country and outlined the measures and procedures undertaken by security agencies to reinforce stability and prevent any attempts to undermine security or disrupt public order. He stressed that maintaining internal security remains a priority and that the state and its security apparatus continue to firmly fulfill their duties to ensure citizens' safety and protect civil peace.
