Israel Attacks Hezbollah Targets in Response to Bomb Explosion

The Israeli army announced attacks on Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon in response to a bomb explosion in the security zone.

"A bomb planted by Hezbollah exploded earlier today on an engineering vehicle belonging to the Israeli Defense Forces in the security zone in southern Lebanon," said Israeli army spokesperson Ila Wawaya in a statement posted on "X." "The incident resulted in minor injuries to two IDF soldiers, who were transported for medical treatment."

She added that "immediately, the Israeli army responded by attacking several terrorist infrastructures in multiple areas in southern Lebanon."

"Among the targeted infrastructures were reconnaissance sites and terrorist facilities used by Hezbollah members to advance and carry out terrorist plots against our forces," she said. "The army continues its presence in the security zone in southern Lebanon as agreed, and will continue operations to eliminate threats to the citizens of the State of Israel and our armed forces."

"The Israeli army will continue to act forcefully against repeated attempts by Hezbollah to endanger our troops," she said.
