On Saturday, the Israeli military announced it carried out a series of airstrikes targeting over 70 Hezbollah infrastructures in southern Lebanon within the last 24 hours.

In its statement, the military said its operations continue against threats from Hezbollah to protect Israeli citizens. It added that the targeted sites included launch platforms and buildings that Hezbollah members allegedly used to plan and execute operations against Israeli forces and areas inside Israel.

During the same period, the Israeli army reported detecting and killing several armed militants in areas where its forces are deployed inside southern Lebanon.

Lebanese official media reported that Israel launched a series of air raids on southern Lebanon on Saturday after its army issued evacuation warnings to residents of twenty towns, including the city of Nabatiyeh.

The National News Agency stated that the airstrikes hit several towns such as Kfar Houneh, Al-Rihan, and Sajd. The latter two towns are located near Nabatiyeh, in addition to areas not included in the evacuation warning.

The airstrike on Al-Rihan in the Jezzine district resulted in the death of its municipal head, according to the National News Agency.

A correspondent for Agence France-Presse in Nabatiyeh described the city as nearly deserted and reported artillery shelling on the city and surrounding areas overnight and continuing into Saturday.

Avichay Adraee, the Israeli army spokesperson for Arabic media, issued an urgent evacuation warning on the X platform to residents of twenty villages and towns, instructing them to move north of Al-Zahrani, approximately forty kilometers from the border.

Last month, the Israeli military classified the area south of the Al-Zahrani River as a "combat zone" and has targeted it since then.
