Israel's Defense Minister on Lebanon: We Will Complete the Destruction!
Israel's Defense Minister Yisrael Katz declared that control of Mount Ali al-Tahir marks the consolidation of security in southern Lebanon, vowing to eliminate Hezbollah's infrastructure and not withdraw until Hezbollah is disarmed nationwide.
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced that "the control of Mount Ali al-Tahir represents the culmination of tightening grip over the security zone in southern Lebanon."
He said: "We advanced toward 'Ali al-Tahir' following intelligence reports of Hezbollah command and control tunnels," noting that "the Israeli army will complete neutralizing and destroying the tunnels and will position itself according to a suitable tactical arrangement."
He added: "We will not withdraw from the security zone until Hezbollah's weapons are dismantled throughout Lebanon."
