According to American sources cited by MTV, the Israeli army's announcement that Ali Al-Taher Hill no longer poses a threat serves both as a part of ongoing negotiations and a military update.

They explained that Israel aims to communicate that any withdrawal will occur only after completing its security mission, rather than under external pressure. Meanwhile, Lebanon is expected to respond that once the threat ends, the first Pilot Zone should commence with an actual withdrawal and handover to the Lebanese army.
