National Social Security Fund Director General Dr. Mohammad Karki issued three new decisions allocating approximately 378 billion Lebanese pounds in advance payments to contracted hospitals and physicians for 5,508 hospitalization cases.
The National Social Security Fund’s Public Relations Directorate announced in a statement that the Fund’s administration continues implementing a series of administrative, medical, and oversight measures aimed at safeguarding the rights of insured persons and ensuring uninterrupted service delivery. Recent steps include reopening the Airport Road office, centralizing all electronic transactions and services exclusively on the Fund’s official website, and holding accountable individuals involved in violations uncovered at the Choueifat office—whose file has been referred to the competent judicial authorities.
Fund Director General Dr. Mohammad Karki issued three new decisions—numbered 419, 420, and 421—authorizing financial advances to hospitals and physicians contracted with the Fund, totaling approximately 378 billion Lebanese pounds.
This disbursement includes advances calculated at the newly raised rate of 90%, which the Fund began applying as of 22 June 2026, alongside advances due for older transactions.
The payments cover the cost of 5,508 hospitalization cases involving insured patients who received treatment at the Fund’s expense.
These advances form part of the Fund’s management policy to ensure liquidity for healthcare service providers, enabling them to meet rising operational costs and continue receiving insured persons and delivering necessary medical and hospital services—without imposing any unjustified additional financial burdens on them.
On this occasion, Dr. Karki called on contracted hospitals to expedite the completion, settlement, and submission of their claims to facilitate timely receipt of their dues. He also reminded them of the obligation to adhere strictly to the fee schedules approved by the Fund and to refrain from charging insured persons any unjustified financial differences, under penalty of disciplinary and legal action.
