Labor Minister Mohamed Haidar toured the industrial city of Tyre, emphasizing reconstruction as a priority following Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon's economic sectors.

Labor Minister Mohamed Haidar visited the industrial city in Tyre accompanied by Members of Parliament Ali Kharis and Hussein Jishi, along with several local figures. This visit was part of a southern tour covering the South and Nabatieh governorates to inspect commercial markets and industrial zones damaged by the Israeli aggression. The delegation assessed the extent of destruction inflicted on economic institutions and facilities.
Minister Haidar stated that the damage to the industrial city reflects the scale of targeting directed at the region's economic strength, describing it as an Israeli attempt to eliminate production capabilities and prevent residents from quickly returning to Tyre and the broader southern area.
He noted that despite the destruction and risks, the people of the South remain determined to persevere and stay. He affirmed, "The people of the South will remain and return, and the government is committed to launching the reconstruction workshop as soon as the necessary funding is secured." He added that plans are currently being developed and communications continue at various levels to obtain financing promptly.
Haidar also emphasized that all sectors are determined to resume production, enable workers to return to their jobs, and facilitate citizens' return to their homes, which will contribute to accelerating Lebanon's recovery. He addressed a message to the international community, urging it to fulfill its responsibilities as a guarantor of the ceasefire and to work towards ensuring a genuine halt to Israeli attacks and curbing the aggression.
MP Ali Kharis confirmed that the Israeli enemy insisted on targeting Lebanon’s economy. He considered the clear response to be steadfastness and remaining on the land without abandoning it or its values. He referenced Imam Sayyed Musa al-Sadr’s teaching that Israel is an absolute evil.
Kharis called on the government to hold one of its sessions in Tyre or Nabatieh to directly observe the damage caused by the Israeli aggression.
MP Hussein Jishi highlighted the brutality of the Zionist enemy, affirming that the Lebanese people remain steadfast and determined to live with dignity, with their will stronger than ever.
Following the visit, Minister Haidar and his accompanying delegation proceeded to the city of Tyre, touring its neighborhoods and closely examining the extent of destruction the city suffered due to the war.
