The civil popular movement - independents, the Federation of Labor Unions and Employees in North Lebanon, and the Association of Mukhtars of Tripoli staged a sit-in in front of the Serail, and they cut off the road, amidst measures by the army and internal security forces, in rejection of the decisions of Minister of Social Affairs Hain al-Sayed and the selectivity in providing people with Aman aid and others, and in rejection of the ministry's performance and the policy of promises it launched.

First, the head of the Federation of Labor Unions and Employees in North Lebanon, syndicate head Shadi al-Sayed, spoke, appealing to officials for direct intervention in the Aman file, and asked about the fate of 250 million dollars that reached the Ministry of Social Affairs allocated for the Aman file, and instead of the minister pumping the money to the beneficiaries, she canceled the names, and said: In the name of widows, the elderly, the disabled, and the poorest whose names were canceled, and also in the name of others who were not notified of the cancellation of their names and have not received any money from Aman for three months, we record this gross negligence, in the face of which we advise the minister to resign, and we say to her from Tripoli, you have obstructed the right of the poor, workers, and widows, and we address from that to the President of the Republic, to inquire about his opinion on this matter and to draw his attention to the complications in the government and to the phenomenon of the two ministers, the Minister of Education who is hesitant to make a decision regarding holding or canceling exams, and a minister who canceled the names of the beneficiaries of the Aman project in a time of crisis and war.

And he concluded: Then we draw attention to the arbitrary suspension of workers in a company contracted for electrical maintenance work, and we ask this government, what next? Where is the good that you promised to the city of Tripoli? And where are the city's deputies?

Then Hamza Diab spoke on behalf of the movement and said: Our movement today will not be without result, and we confirm that the next movement will be in front of the ministry. He was followed by the head of the Association of Mukhtars of Tripoli, Hussam al-Toum, saying: We are facing a performance that calls into question the performance of the Ministry of Social Affairs, which on the one hand stopped the names of the beneficiaries and then forgot its obligations towards Tripoli, noting that the decisions taken to cancel the names of the beneficiaries were not appropriate and that re-auditing is necessary, because what happened is a form of humiliation for the people.
