Lebanese Defense Minister and Danish Ambassador Discuss Military Support and Cooperation
Lebanese Defense Minister Michel Mounsi met with Danish Ambassador Christopher Vivek to discuss military support and enhanced cooperation between Lebanon and Denmark.

Lebanon's Defense Minister Michel Mounsi received Danish Ambassador to Lebanon Christopher Vivek at his office in Yarzeh today.
During the meeting, the Danish ambassador reaffirmed his country's commitment to continue supporting Lebanon and its military institution, either directly or through the United Nations Development Programme and the European Union.
The defense minister was also informed of the Danish government's decision to establish a military attaché office within the Danish embassy in Beirut and to send a Danish military attaché to Lebanon as part of efforts to strengthen military cooperation between the two nations.
The discussion covered general conditions and regional developments, including the memorandum of understanding signed between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, the ongoing negotiations between Lebanon and Israel under American auspices, and the post-mission phase following the end of UNIFIL's mandate at the end of this year, along with the related challenges.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Mounsi wished Ambassador Vivek success as he completes his mission in Lebanon and expressed gratitude for his efforts in enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries.
