Lebanon
Israel reports that Lebanese leadership is committed to ending Hezbollah's influence to rebuild the state amid progress in negotiations between the two countries.

According to a diplomatic source cited by the Hebrew newspaper "Israel Hayom" on Sunday, an agreement between Israel and Lebanon is approaching, with tangible progress evident in ongoing negotiations between the parties.
The source added that the Lebanese leadership has passed the "point of no return" regarding the negotiation process, emphasizing its firm commitment to reaching an agreement that ends the current state of escalation.
The same source noted that the Lebanese leadership recognizes that rebuilding the state necessitates ending Hezbollah's influence over political and military decisions within the country, describing this as a fundamental step toward fully restoring Lebanon's sovereignty.
These developments coincide with the fourth round of Lebanese-Israeli talks in Washington, which resulted in a preliminary understanding on a "conditional" ceasefire. This agreement is based on a complete cessation of Hezbollah's fire and its withdrawal from the area south of the Litani River, within arrangements intended to establish a long-term calm in the region.
