Lounds Discusses Strengthening Security Cooperation with Chinese Ambassador in Beirut

The following statement was issued by the Directorate General of State Security – Media, Guidance and Public Relations Department:

Director General of State Security, Major General Edgar Lounds, received at his office in the headquarters building, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Lebanese Republic, Chen Chuandong.

During the meeting, general developments in Lebanon and the region were reviewed, and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries were discussed, particularly in security fields, through developing coordination mechanisms and cooperation among relevant authorities, and exchanging expertise and information, serving common interests and contributing to consolidating security and stability.
