French President Emmanuel Macron announced that France will organize a conference to support the Lebanese Armed Forces following Israel's legislative elections.

French President Emmanuel Macron announced that France will hold a conference to support the Lebanese Armed Forces after the legislative elections in Israel.
Speaking to journalists in the Qatari capital, Macron said: "We will also coordinate support for the Lebanese army, and France will convene a conference in the coming weeks... I believe it is pointless to do so before the Israeli elections."
Israelis are set to vote on October 27 (Tishreen) of this month in an election expected to be closely contested, meaning the shape of the next government will depend on which side succeeds in forming a ruling coalition amidst sharp political divisions.
