Massive Fire Engulfs Batouma al-Shouf Forests and Threatens Homes

A massive fire broke out on the outskirts of Batouma al-Shouf, spreading across extensive forest areas, affecting pine trees and olive groves, and approaching residential areas and inhabited homes, as strong winds helped the flames expand from the valley upward toward hills along the border with Al-Ma'assar and Al-Barouk villages.

Firefighting aircraft joined forces with the Civil Defense and local residents in an effort to extinguish the blaze, which has caused significant damage to crops and forested land.

Afternoon saw the fire reignite, and authorities are working to contain the flames to prevent further spread into dense forests and avoid greater destruction.
