Meeting between President Aoun and the Governor of Lebanon's Central Bank... Here's What Was Discussed

President Joseph Aoun was briefed by Central Bank Governor Karim Sayed on the latest developments regarding the banking sector, monetary and financial stability.

The discussion covered ongoing banking sector reforms and their supervisory framework, the upcoming visit of the International Monetary Fund mission to Lebanon, as well as Lebanon’s position and progress in complying with international standards related to transparency, financial integrity, anti-money laundering, and combating terrorist financing.

The meeting also addressed measures taken by the Central Bank to strengthen confidence in the financial sector and reinforce stability.
