Nawaf Salam: No Loss for the Government, War Decision Solely in State's Hands
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam stated that the government is not lost and emphasized that only the state holds the authority to decide on war and peace.

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam affirmed that it is regrettable to mislead Lebanese people by talking about the loss or confusion of the government, stressing that the government does not resort to external bets or illusory calculations.
Salam said, in an interview with "An-Nahar" newspaper, that Lebanon can no longer tolerate affiliations that drag it again into absurd wars, which only serve to give Israel more pretexts to expand its occupation of the south.
He added that protecting Lebanon is achieved only by everyone's commitment to keeping the decision of peace and war, and the exclusivity of weapons, in the hands of the state.
