Netanyahu: Al-Taher Heights No Longer Pose a Threat to Israel

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the completion of the Israeli army's cleansing operation in the Al-Taher Heights as a "huge news".

He said the heights "were built as an extension of the Qalat al-Shaqif (Al-Bufur) site, serving as a strategic location not only used to harass Kiryat Shmona and its surroundings, but also planned for the occupation of the Galilee".

He added: "We have eliminated many infiltrators there, and it is now possible to announce this. The Al-Taher Heights no longer pose a threat to us".
