No One Is Above the Law.. Salam Calls for Punishing Those Who Store and Transport Weapons
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam stated that storing or transporting weapons under any pretext requires security follow-up and judicial prosecution to impose the harshest penalties on perpetrators.

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam affirmed that "storing or transporting weapons under any pretext whatsoever necessitates security follow-up and judicial prosecution to impose the harshest penalty prescribed by law against perpetrators."
He added: "There is no partner to the state in the decision of war and peace, and this is fundamental to the country's constitution. What is required from Hezbollah is to adhere to what it has previously announced and repeatedly agreed to regarding its content."
He continued: "We had requested the army to prepare a plan for implementation, and no one, regardless of their status or authority, has the right to reconsider this except the Council of Ministers," adding: "The entities authorized to carry weapons in Lebanon are exclusively the Lebanese Army, Internal Security Forces, General Security Directorate, State Security General Directorate, Lebanese Customs, and Municipal Police."
