One dead and one injured in ceiling collapse of a shop in Jounieh
The ceiling of a commercial shop under renovation, dedicated to selling hardware, collapsed in Jounieh market while a number of Syrian workers were inside.
The ceiling of a commercial shop under renovation, dedicated to selling hardware, collapsed in Jounieh market, while a number of Syrian workers were inside.
The collapse led to the death of Syrian Bilal Moussa, who was residing in a chalet above the roof of the collapsed shop, and injured one person with minor injuries who was transferred to the University Hospital of Our Lady of Lebanon.
Teams from the Jounieh center of Civil Defense and elements from the Lebanese Red Cross rushed to the scene, search and rescue operations were initiated, and one injured person was transferred to the University Hospital of Our Lady of Lebanon. Elements from the Jounieh branch of the Internal Security Forces opened an investigation to determine the causes of the accident.
