Parliament reconfirmed its confidence in President Nawaf Salam's government with 68 votes against 12 no-confidence votes and two abstentions, after two days of sessions dedicated to discussing the government's work and nearly two hours of the evening session.

Before the confidence vote was put forward, the "Resistance Loyalty" bloc of MPs left the parliamentary chamber.

Members of the "Development and Liberation" bloc granted the government confidence, with MP Bassel Bassel stating before voting: "Unfortunately, confidence."
