President Aoun and Araqchi Discuss Regional Developments and Lebanon's Stability

President Joseph Aoun received a phone call this evening from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, during which they discussed current regional developments and several issues of mutual interest.

During the conversation, President Aoun welcomed the understanding reached between Iran and the United States, expressing hope that it would represent a positive step toward reducing tensions and opening the way for diplomatic solutions that enhance security and stability at both regional and international levels.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing political and diplomatic efforts to establish lasting stability in the region, which would positively impact its countries and peoples.

The President affirmed that Lebanon’s stability, security, and sovereignty remain a fixed national priority, stressing the necessity of keeping the country neutral from the repercussions of regional crises and tensions.

For his part, the Iranian minister underscored the importance of respecting Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial unity by all parties, expressing hope that the positive atmosphere resulting from the recent understanding would support stability within Lebanon and enhance opportunities for recovery and economic advancement.
