President Aoun on the Anniversary of Greater Lebanon's Declaration: The Bet Lies in Preserving Sovereignty

Confirmed President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun, on the anniversary of the declaration of Greater Lebanon on September 1, 1920, that "this achievement, realized through the formation of the Lebanese idea via a political entity uniting all Lebanese factions, was solidified constitutionally in a state with a mission. This declaration was completed by the proclamation of the Lebanese Constitution and the Republic in 1926, which we are celebrating its centenary throughout this year. It was also completed by independence and the establishment of institutions."

He added: "Despite challenges and conflicts, Lebanon has continued to rise and reclaim its role among nations. The challenge today lies in ending wars, preserving sovereignty, and moving forward toward building the state and institutions, revitalizing the economy and business. This can only be achieved by everyone returning to the state, which is the sole reference point for all Lebanese, united by the National Pact as a unifying foundation that safeguards diversity within unity."
