Raid and Military Injury, Wanted Man

Lebanese Army conducted a raid in Ayn al-Dhahab, Akkar, arresting two men linked to gunfire during a clash on June 7, 2026. One soldier was injured during the operation, and weapons and ammunition were seized.

Issued by the Army Command – Directorate of Information:

"A unit of the army carried out a raid operation in the town of Ayn al-Dhahab – Akkar, and arrested citizens (Z.A.) and (M.A.), for their involvement in gunfire during a clash that occurred on June 7, 2026.

During the raid, citizen (S.A.) opened fire toward unit members, who responded in kind, resulting in an injured soldier and the citizen who fired, who was transferred to a hospital for treatment. The weapon used and a quantity of military ammunition were seized. Additionally, another unit in the same town arrested citizens (Sh.A.) and (T.K.), for previously firing guns.

Furthermore, an army unit raided homes of wanted individuals in the Tel al-Abiad – Baalbek area, arresting citizen (H.J.), wanted for committing several crimes including shooting at an army patrol, and citizen (A.K.) for possessing a quantity of narcotics.

The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the detained individuals have commenced under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
