Rubio: What Has Been Achieved Between Lebanon and Israel Is Unprecedented

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio pointed out, "We have achieved some successes in the Middle East. What we have been able to achieve diplomatically between Lebanon and Israel is unprecedented. President Joseph Aoun visited us a week ago, and I believe that was the first visit by a Lebanese president in nearly 30 years."

He added, "In fact, this is the first time the Lebanese and Israeli governments have spoken at the official level in nearly 30 years, and that was thanks to the leadership of President Donald Trump. There is still much work to do to maintain and build on this peace, but it is a real achievement."
