Prime Minister Dr. Nouf Salim received a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) led by Ernesto Rigo, and discussions focused on the path of financial and economic reforms and cooperation between Lebanon and the IMF.

The IMF delegation congratulated the government on passing the banking reform law and on the progress made in preparing the Medium-Term Fiscal Framework (MTFF), emphasizing the importance of sustaining the ongoing reform momentum.

It was also underscored that reaching an agreement at the expert level (SLA) leading to an IMF program is crucial for restoring confidence among the international community and the private sector in Lebanon’s economy.

The two sides agreed to continue working together and building on the existing positive momentum toward achieving these goals.
