The southern town of Al-Duwayr witnessed a series of airstrikes carried out by warplanes and drones, resulting in the deaths of three citizens and injuries to several others, in addition to widespread destruction of homes and shops.
At approximately two ten minutes this afternoon, warplanes targeted the home of Muhammad Zainu Qansu located near the Al-Sharqiya intersection on the main road in Al-Duwayr, completely destroying it.
The raid resulted in the deaths of the two sisters, Asriya and Subhiya Muhammad Zainu Qansu, who were in the home receiving condolences for the death of their mother, who had passed away earlier that same morning.
Rescue teams from the Islamic Message Scouts and the Lebanese Civil Defense began clearing rubble and recovering the body of Subhiya, with efforts ongoing to retrieve the body of Asriya from under the debris.
The teams also reopened the main road, which had been closed due to the accumulation of rubble from the raid.
