State Security Launches Investigation into Forged License Plates
The General Directorate of State Security announced an inquiry into the use of forged civilian license plates linked to its vehicles.

The General Directorate of State Security – Media, Guidance, and Public Relations Department issued a statement addressing recent reports and images circulating on media outlets and social media platforms. These materials alleged the use of civilian license plates belonging to the General Directorate of State Security by unidentified individuals.
The Directorate clarified that while the civilian numbers are indeed assigned to the General Directorate, the metal plates displayed on the vehicle in the circulated image are counterfeit and do not correspond to any of its operational vehicles. Authorities have promptly initiated a comprehensive investigation under the supervision of the military judiciary to determine how these plates were used and to identify those responsible.
The investigation aims to facilitate the necessary legal and judicial measures against the perpetrators involved.
