Strike in Lebanon Enters Its 21st Day.. Prisoners: How Many Must Die?
544 prisoners in Lebanese jails have been on an open hunger and medication strike for 21 days, protesting the freeze of the general amnesty law.

544 prisoners in several Lebanese prisons continue their open hunger and medication strike for the twenty-first consecutive day, protesting the freezing of the general amnesty law. Among them are inmates in buildings "B" and "D" at Roumieh Prison, as well as those in Rashaya and Bekaa prisons.
A spokesperson for the prisoners stated that the number of critical cases among the strikers has risen to 55 by noon today, Saturday, noting that prisoner "A.A." was transferred to the hospital yesterday, Friday, due to a deterioration in his health condition.
The spokesperson revealed growing concerns among the prisoners about the spread of tuberculosis, appealing to the Ministry of Health and relevant associations to urgently provide "KN95" masks, and calling on health authorities to take fears of a disease outbreak seriously and adopt necessary measures.
In a protest message, prisoners raised a banner reading: "What are you waiting for? How many prisoners must die before you release the general amnesty law?"
