US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that Israel will redeploy its forces in Lebanon to focus its military efforts on confronting Iran, considering that this step will be positive at the current stage.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump explained that "it is good for Israel to redeploy in Lebanon to focus on the major issue, which is Iran," in reference to the ongoing escalation between Washington and Tehran.
The US President also addressed the Hezbollah file, considering that Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara will handle the party inside Syria.
Trump added that al-Shara "will deal with Hezbollah in a different way, and will not demolish buildings," noting that he will be "more precise than the Israelis" in handling this file.
The US President affirmed that he knows the Syrian President wants to do that, without providing additional details about the nature of this role or the mechanism for its implementation.
