Trump Says Progress Made and "Things Will Happen" in Lebanon
President Trump stated progress has been made in Lebanon and expressed belief that developments will occur there, emphasizing the importance of peace.

President Donald Trump announced that "some progress" has been achieved in Lebanon and expressed his belief that "things will happen" regarding the country, stating, "It is good for Lebanon to have some peace."
During a press conference at the White House, Trump explained that he had spoken with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and "Hezbollah," adding, "I think progress has been made in this conflict that has lasted for decades."
Trump noted that "Hezbollah contacted us and asked, 'What do you think about stopping the fighting?'" He added, "The Lebanese issue is somewhat different but it is linked to Iran."
A significant portion of Trump's remarks focused on the Iranian war, where he reiterated that Tehran "will never get a nuclear weapon."
Regarding enriched uranium, Trump said, "We discussed sending special forces to take nuclear materials from Iran, but I did not want to find myself in a situation similar to that of Jimmy Carter."
He added, "We monitor Iranian nuclear sites from space, and anyone approaching them will be dealt with appropriately."
Trump affirmed that the United States "will win the war with Iran either through negotiations or another way, but we will definitely prevail."
He stated he is not seeking to meet the Iranian Supreme Leader but added that he might meet him "if an agreement is reached."
Concerning the points under negotiation between the U.S. and Iran, Trump said the most important is that "the Strait of Hormuz will open immediately."
