US Official Confirms Shift to Implementation Phase of Framework Agreement with Israeli Withdrawal Imminent
A US official involved in Lebanon-Israel talks stated that the process has moved to implementing the framework agreement, with Israel's first withdrawal zone in southern Lebanon to be decided soon.

A US official responsible for the negotiations between Lebanon and Israel revealed that the discussions have progressed from the negotiation phase to the implementation phase of the "framework agreement." The official indicated that the first pilot area for Israeli withdrawal in southern Lebanon will be designated within the coming days.
The official added that efforts are currently underway to prepare maps and identify additional pilot zones as part of executing the agreements related to the Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
He further explained that the specific location of the first pilot area from which Israeli forces will withdraw will be finalized in the next few days, followed by subsequent stages according to the agreed-upon implementation mechanism.
The US official clarified that current efforts focus on moving from political understandings to practical steps, including map preparation, defining withdrawal zones, and establishing mechanisms to carry out the agreement on the ground.
