Hulu has ordered the crime thriller "Durango" to series, starring Kathryn Newton and Cooper Hoffman, with additional cast members announced.

A new crime thriller featuring Kathryn Newton and Cooper Hoffman has received a full series order from Hulu. The streaming service confirmed the greenlight for "Durango," simultaneously revealing that Merritt Wever, Mason Gooding, and Abbey Lee have joined the ensemble cast.
The narrative centers on two protagonists: Mikey, portrayed by Hoffman as a local ski bum, and Bunny, played by Newton as a homeschooled runaway working as a waitress. After falling in love, the pair flee together, pursued by law enforcement, criminal elements, and Mikey’s wife, whose decisions compound their troubles.
Wever takes on the role of Joni, a detective who has spent 20 years in a quiet resort town. Her routine is disrupted when she assumes what becomes the biggest case of her career. Gooding plays Miles, a younger detective characterized by quick wit, serving as a foil to Joni. Lee portrays Irina, Mikey’s Russian wife, who is an enthusiast of American pop culture and currently seeking U.S. citizenship.
Writer and executive producer Eliza Clark developed the project. Clark’s previous credits include "Y: The Last Man" and "Animal Kingdom." According to TheWrap, this marks Hoffman’s first television role.
Jesse Peretz directed and executive produced the pilot episode, which Hulu initially ordered in March. Christopher Storer, creator of "The Bear," joins the executive producer lineup alongside Clark, Michael Ellenberg, Christina Malach, Josh Senior, and Tyson Bidner.
No premiere date or episode count was included in the announcement. Hoffman and Gooding previously appeared together in the film "I Want Your Sex."
