A US official revealed that the Lebanese Army will manage the experimental zones and remove Hezbollah weapons, pending verification agreements with Israel and Lebanon.
A US official disclosed that the Lebanese Army will assume responsibility for the experimental zones and will clear them of Hezbollah weapons.
The official added that negotiations are ongoing with Israel and Lebanon regarding the entity responsible for verifying the absence of Hezbollah arms in these areas.
It was further announced that once the clearance of Hezbollah weapons is confirmed, the process will proceed to the second phase.
