The US Embassy in Lebanon announced that "the talks between Lebanon and Israel in Rome concluded after two days of fruitful and positive discussions."

The US Embassy indicated that "an agreement was reached on the structure and operational guidelines for the pilot zones, with final procedures to be completed and implementation to begin in the coming days."

It added: "We will now move to expanded technical talks that will focus on implementing all the provisions of the tripartite framework with the aim of reaching a comprehensive agreement between Lebanon and Israel."
