Kaia Gerber Launches RE/DONE's First Full Collection

A scarlet micro minidress with an open-back cutout stretching almost to the waist anchored Kaia Gerber’s campaign for her debut RE/DONE collection. The model shared images from the shoot on her Instagram Stories, highlighting the piece’s vintage-inspired aesthetic and dramatic silhouette.

Design and construction of the Walker Dress

The garment—named the Walker Dress and rendered in the rich “Lipstain” shade—is crafted from a luxurious blend of merino wool and cashmere. Its front presents a classic crew neckline and minimalist silhouette, while its back departs sharply from that restraint.

Delicate tie closures sit at the neckline, and exposed seam detailing runs across the back, reinforcing the dress’s understated yet bold visual language. The oversized cutout dominates the rear view, occupying the space between shoulders and waist without interruption.

Styling and presentation

Gerber styled the dress with sheer black tights and dark brown patent-finish pointed-toe kitten-heel mules. The glossy finish of the shoes contrasted deliberately with the softness of the knit fabric.

In one campaign image, she posed sideways on a chair while glancing over her shoulder—positioning the backless design as the focal point. Her layered brunette hair fell softly over one shoulder but did not obscure the cutout.
