King Charles Hosts Harry and Meghan, Meets Grandchildren for First Time
King Charles III and Queen Camilla hosted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with their children in a private family gathering, marking the king's first meeting with his grandchildren.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla welcomed Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with their two children, for a private family meeting away from the media.
According to media reports, the gathering took place on Friday, July 10, at Highgrove House, the king’s rural residence in Gloucestershire, west of London, signaling a notable development in family relations.
This occasion marked the first time in four years that King Charles met with his youngest son’s family as a whole, the last encounter being during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.
The meeting also provided the king with the opportunity to see his grandchildren, Prince Archie, aged seven, and Princess Lilibet, aged five, for the first time; both children reside in the United States.
Prince Harry had arrived in the United Kingdom earlier in the week to take part in charitable events and the countdown to the Invictus Games for wounded veterans in Birmingham.
Buckingham Palace and media outlets including CNN confirmed that no photos or further details would be released regarding the meeting, describing it as a "very private family occasion."
The gathering did not include the Prince of Wales, Prince William; the hosts were limited to the king and Queen Camilla.
