The Lalique Museum, located in the town of Vence-sur-Moïse in eastern France, was the scene of a major jewelry theft estimated at 4 million euros, according to the newspaper Le Parisien.

A source familiar with the investigation told the newspaper that about 20 pieces of jewelry were stolen and that damage assessment is ongoing, with the estimated value around 4 million euros.

After breaking into the building, the thieves went directly to the jewelry room. Despite the alarm system being triggered, they were not apprehended.

While the security company was investigating the cause of the alarm activation, a cleaning worker arrived first at the site and notified the police.

Following a theft at the Louvre Museum in October 2025, the Lalique Museum was added to a list of vulnerable sites and placed under special surveillance.

This cultural institution was inaugurated in 2011 adjacent to the factory named after René Lalique, a decorative designer and artist known for his work in Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles, and for his glass and jewelry creations.
