A dispute broke out in the town of Baarin in the countryside of Hama Governorate, Syria, during a football match between the team of the town of Beit Nater and the team of the town of Baarin, which is hosting a local football tournament called the "Baarin Spring" tournament.

Local sources reported this in their statements to RT, indicating that the dispute, whose direct cause is not yet known, quickly developed into a confrontation between a number of young men before matters worsened further due to the use of firearms and resorting to them to settle the dispute.

According to our sources, the football battle that turned into firefights resulted in a number of injuries, including two young men in critical condition. Consequently, the injured were transported to one of the hospitals in the area for treatment, amid a state of panic and fear among the audience who had come to watch the match.

The incident, with its painful outcomes, once again highlights the phenomenon of the proliferation of loose weapons among the population, which often leads to security tremors in a society whose wounds have not yet healed, as it resorts to solving its problems through the use of weapons, while the government attempts to assert its control over these areas to ensure security and stability.
