Prince Moulay Abdellah Complex in Rabat witnessed unfortunate events during the 17th round of the Moroccan League. Despite the match continuing until its end, the stands turned into a battleground for conflicts between factions of the two teams' fans, necessitating a firm security intervention.
Consequently, the arrested individuals were placed under police custody under instructions from the Public Prosecution, on suspicion of involvement in acts of vandalism and physical confrontations that threatened the safety of those present at the sports facility.
Moroccan media outlets expressed their strong dissatisfaction with the recurrence of these scenes, pointing to the existence of incitement calls that preceded the match on social media platforms. Furthermore, experts warned of the danger of fans being drawn into digital hate speech, which later escalates into bloody clashes on the ground.
From a technical standpoint, these events did not prevent AS FAR from securing the victory with a score of (2-1). With this win, the military team jumped to second place, two points behind the leader "Maghreb de Fès", while Raja dropped to third place, intensifying the competition with 13 rounds remaining in the football season.
