Jose Mourinho denies any contact with Real Madrid, stating his focus remains on Benfica amid exit rumors.

Jose Mourinho has finally addressed swirling rumors linking him to the Real Madrid managerial job, breaking his silence on the matter. The Benfica coach insisted he has had no direct communication with the Spanish club's hierarchy.
In remarks published by Spanish outlet Sport, Mourinho laid out a broader principle about how football transfers work. "There is one thing I want to make clear: in the world of football, it's not just professionals who decide whether to leave or not," he said. "When anything happens involving players, coaches, administrators, or other professionals, it is the clubs that show interest and start the necessary procedures to try to sign whoever they want."
The Portuguese manager directly addressed the Real Madrid chatter. "The talk is still about Real Madrid, and I avoid going into that subject, but I am telling the whole truth: I have not contacted the president or any other important figure at the club," he stated.
While not ruling out a departure from Benfica at the end of the season, Mourinho stressed his current focus is on his duties with the Portuguese side. "In the final stages of the season, I don't speak to anyone. I haven't contacted anyone, and I won't until after the Estoril match," he explained. "After that, there will be a week when I am free to talk to whomever I see a need to speak with, but everything published about meetings is nothing but speculation."
Mourinho once again denied any communication with Real Madrid regarding a potential return to the Spanish club. The denial comes as Real Madrid endures a turbulent season, with tensions escalating to a physical altercation between players Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde.
