NBA Player Brandon Clark Dies at 29
Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clark has died at age 29, his agency confirmed, with reports of a possible overdose investigation.

Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clark has died at the age of 29, his agency, Priority Sports, confirmed on Tuesday. The cause of death has not been officially disclosed, though US media reports indicate authorities are investigating the possibility of a fatal overdose.
Clark was suspended last April in Arkansas on charges including speeding, leading police on a chase, drug possession and transportation, and attempting to flee from law enforcement.
A Career Cut Short
The Canadian player had been plagued by a series of severe injuries over the past two seasons, most notably to his knee and calf, which sidelined him for the vast majority of games. He appeared in only two matches during that period.
Clark rose to prominence in the NCAA with Gonzaga University before being selected 21st overall in the 2019 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was immediately traded to the Memphis Grizzlies, where he spent seven seasons, averaging 10.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
In a heartfelt statement, the Grizzlies mourned their former player, saying: "Brandon was a great teammate and an exceptional person. His impact will remain within the organization and the Memphis community."
