Apple Music Hikes Subscription Fees Citing Licensing Cost Increases
Apple Music has raised subscription prices in the US and other countries due to increased licensing expenses, affecting individual, family, and student plans.

Apple Music has implemented new subscription fees for its users in the United States and internationally, effective immediately.
The individual subscription rate has been adjusted to $11.99 from $10.99, while the family plan now costs $19.99, increased from $16.99. The student plan has also risen to $6.99 from $5.99.
Apple attributed these changes to "rising licensing costs," as stated in an official announcement reported by Deadline.
Alongside these changes, Apple has also raised prices for several tiers of its Apple One bundles, which include Apple Music. The Family tier now costs $27.95 monthly, up from $25.95, and the Premier plan has increased to $39.95 from $37.95.
The individual Apple One plan remains at $19.95 per month without any change.
Previously, Apple Music adjusted its subscription prices in October 2022, when the individual plan increased from $9.99 to $10.99.
Separately, recent leaks and rumors about Apple's upcoming iPhone models have surfaced online, offering insights into potential features of the new devices.
