GTA VI launch date underpins Take-Two outlook
Take-Two linked GTA VI’s November 19, 2026 release to a fiscal 2027 net bookings forecast of $8.0 billion to $8.2 billion.

Take-Two’s fiscal 2027 outlook is built around GTA VI reaching stores on November 19, 2026, with the company forecasting net bookings of $8.0 billion to $8.2 billion, up 20% from the prior year.
Strauss Zelnick, the company’s CEO, restated the date during Take-Two’s Q4 FY2026 earnings call. The projection depends almost entirely on GTA VI shipping on schedule, leaving no practical room for another delay.
The game has already slipped twice, first from a spring 2025 target to May 2026 and then to November 2026, for an 18-month total drift. Zelnick has maintained the same confidence each time, and the SEC Filing (Take-Two Q4 FY2026) ties “record operating performance” directly to the November 19 launch.
PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are the planned platforms for GTA VI. No PC version has been announced, and the timelines for GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 point to a 2027 window, although nothing is official.
Take-Two said GTA V has sold 230 million copies since 2013, making it the best-selling game in industry history. The broader GTA franchise has sold 470 million units across all titles, while Red Dead Redemption 2 has reached 85 million copies and sits third on Take-Two’s all-time list behind Minecraft.
On pricing, Zelnick did not give a figure on the earnings call and instead promised only “fair value” across multiple editions. Analyst estimates range from $70 to $100, but nothing has been confirmed, while EA and Activision keep the $70 baseline for major titles.
Take-Two also outlined its 2027–2029 pipeline: eight sequels and seven remakes or remasters across 15 existing franchises, three entirely new IPs, eight sports titles, and three mobile games. Zelnick said Rockstar’s marketing campaign for GTA VI is due to begin “imminently” and dismissed a May 18 pre-order rumour, saying he had no idea where it originated and urging players to wait for an official announcement.
