REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ posts 12,679 multi-core score in Geekbench test
A prototype of the upcoming REDMAGIC gaming phone recorded a high multi-core benchmark score ahead of its October launch.

A prototype of the REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ registered 3,677 points in single-core and 12,679 points in multi-core tests on Geekbench. These figures provide an early look at the device's CPU capabilities before its official unveiling on October 15.
Benchmark configuration details

Geekbench benchmark result for the REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ prototype
The testing unit operated with 16GB of RAM, Android 17, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset using Geekbench 7.1.0. The multi-core result exceeds scores from previous appearances of this handset model.
Cooling technology advantages

REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ Geekbench benchmark score information
Active fan cooling allows REDMAGIC to pursue aggressive performance tuning alongside internal heat-management systems. This approach was previously implemented on the REDMAGIC 11S Pro, combining an internal fan with liquid cooling to sustain higher loads than conventional flagship phones typically manage.
Limitations of short benchmarks
Geekbench runs are short CPU-focused tests that do not reflect behavior after 30 or 60 minutes of gaming, when heat from the chipset, battery, and chassis becomes significant. Additionally, these results cannot predict AnTuTu rankings because AnTuTu evaluates CPU, GPU, memory, and UX performance together.
Launch timeline and specifications
The handset is excluded from AnTuTu’s September rankings as it requires at least 1,000 valid monthly results for inclusion. Final display, battery, and cooling specifications remain unconfirmed until the launch event, along with evidence of sustained performance.
