Samsung Sets July 22 Launch for Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Watch 9 with Discounts

Reservations are now open for Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event scheduled for July 22, where the company will introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, Watch 9, and additional products.

The event will showcase the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, with speculation about a new set of Galaxy Buds and a preview of Galaxy Glasses developed in collaboration with Google.

Samsung described the event as a platform to present its latest Galaxy innovations, emphasizing advancements in foldable technology, intelligent features, and new form factors aimed at enhancing personalized and adaptive experiences in the AI era.

Taking place in London, the event marks Samsung’s return to Europe for a major launch, following previous unveilings such as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in Paris in 2024 and the Fold 5 in South Korea. The Fold 7 was introduced last year in New York City.

The live stream will begin at 9am ET/6am PT/2pm BST on July 22 and will be accessible on YouTube and other platforms.

Samsung is promoting a $30 reservation credit and discounts reaching up to $1,200 off on select new devices, likely applying to the higher-priced Fold 8 Ultra model. These discounts are expected to involve trade-in credits, while the $30 credit is designated for accessories such as cases or Galaxy Buds. Customers who reserve their devices for free and without obligation will be entered into a draw to win one of ten $500 Samsung.com gift cards.
