100 Days After Saif al-Gaddafi's Killing, Qadhadhfa Tribe Warns of Open Options to 'Restore Rights'
One hundred days after the assassination of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, the Qadhadhfa tribe's youth issue a stark warning of escalation and open-ended options to reclaim justice.

A hundred days have passed since the assassination of Saif al-Islam Muammar Gaddafi, with no perpetrators identified or brought to justice. This impasse has driven the youth of the Qadhadhfa tribe to release a strongly worded statement, threatening "escalation" and open-ended options to "restore the right."
The statement, carrying an angry tone, asserted that "millions of free people still see with their own eyes how the real criminals who planned, incited, financed, and facilitated the execution of this heinous crime roam freely in absolute liberty." It noted that the scenes of grief witnessed in the city of Bani Walid during the farewell ceremonies remain present in the consciousness of Libyans.
Patience Was Not Fear
The tribe's youth clarified that their patience throughout the past period "was not fear nor incapacity," but rather stemmed from a belief in the state institutions' ability to activate the law and pursue those involved. They emphasized they had given the relevant authorities repeated opportunities to act, "but hopes have begun to fade."
In a direct accusation, the statement held the Zintan tribes responsible for "absolute silence and covering up for the criminals," considering this stance "suggests complicity or a failure to fulfill a national and moral duty." According to the statement, this silence has contributed to exacerbating the crisis and raising the level of tension.
End of the Tolerance Phase
The statement stressed that the phase of "tolerance and granting respite" has ended, and that the silence which was interpreted as weakness "was a beautiful patience." It concluded with an explicit warning of upcoming steps to exact justice, affirming that they "will not bear responsibility for any future developments" after this announcement, in a clear reference to the possibility of escalation in the coming period.
