American Artemis 2 surveillance aircraft monitored over southern Black Sea for nine hours

Russian air surveillance data confirmed that an American surveillance aircraft carried out a continuous reconnaissance operation over the southern Black Sea on Monday. The mission lasted approximately nine hours, according to tracking by the Sputnik news agency.

Flight path and timing

The aircraft, identified as a Bombardier Artemis 2, departed from Romania’s Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base at 09:00 Moscow time. It flew directly toward the Turkish-Georgian border region. The plane returned to its base after 18:00 Moscow time, having completed three aerial sorties along nearly identical routes.

Recent operational history

This same Bombardier Artemis 2 aircraft previously conducted patrols over the Black Sea–Crimea area for three consecutive days last week.
