Jordan condemned, on Monday, the Iranian attack that targeted an Emirati tanker belonging to ADNOC while passing through the Strait of Hormuz, as a flagrant violation of international law and Security Council Resolution 2817.

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed, in a statement on Monday, Jordan's rejection and denunciation of this attack, stressing Jordan's absolute solidarity with the sisterly United Arab Emirates, and its full support for all steps it takes to protect its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens.

For its part, "the Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned and denounced the Iranian terrorist attack that targeted a tanker belonging to the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), using two drones while passing through the Strait of Hormuz, as a flagrant violation of the rules of international law, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, the resolutions of the International Maritime Organization, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817."

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed, in a statement today, "the full solidarity of the Kingdom of Bahrain with the UAE, and its full support for the measures it takes to protect its vital interests, stressing the need for Iran to commit to ceasing all hostile acts, and to fully and unconditionally guarantee freedom of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, in accordance with international laws and agreements, as a fundamental pillar for energy security, the stability of food and medicine supplies, the flow of global trade, enhancing economic growth, and consolidating security and stability in the region and the world."

The Arab Republic of Egypt condemned "in the strongest terms the blatant attack that targeted an Emirati tanker while passing through the Strait of Hormuz."

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed, in a statement issued today, that "targeting commercial ships and disrupting international maritime passages is a flagrant violation of the principles of international law that affirm and guarantee freedom of international navigation," warning that "such practices represent a serious threat to the security and stability of the region, global energy supplies, and the freedom of international trade movement."

Egypt affirmed "its full solidarity and support for the UAE in the measures and procedures it takes to protect its security and national interests, stressing its absolute rejection of any acts aimed at undermining the security and stability of the Arab Gulf states."

The United Arab Emirates had expressed "its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian terrorist attack that targeted a national tanker belonging to ADNOC using two drones, while passing through the Strait of Hormuz, without recording any injuries."

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, in a statement, that "this attack constitutes a flagrant violation of Security Council Resolution 2817, which emphasized freedom of navigation and rejected targeting commercial ships or disrupting international maritime passages," stressing that targeting commercial navigation and using the Strait of Hormuz as a tool of pressure or economic blackmail constitutes acts of piracy by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and poses a direct threat to the stability of the region and its peoples and to global energy security.

The statement also stressed "the need for Iran to stop these treacherous attacks, ensuring its full commitment to ceasing all hostile acts, and reopening the strait fully and unconditionally, to achieve the security of the region and the stability of the global economy and trade."
