A Chinese security standoff delayed President Trump's press pool for 30 minutes at the Temple of Heaven over an armed US Secret Service agent.

A 30-minute delay hit the press pool accompanying U.S. President Donald Trump at Beijing's Temple of Heaven (Tiantan) complex on Thursday, following a tense and prolonged confrontation between American and Chinese officials. The holdup began when Chinese security forces refused to allow a U.S. Secret Service agent carrying a weapon to enter the temple grounds, according to China's official news agency.
The two leaders were scheduled to visit the Temple of Heaven after their bilateral talks, as outlined in the itinerary reported by Russia's TASS news agency.
Commenting on the incident, the journalist in charge of the media coverage team stated that "in the end, a compromise was reached," but declined to provide further details on the nature of that agreement.
